This turkey hunt takes place on 12,000 acres of mixed timber, green fields, pastures, and meadows. Flocks with as many as 50 turkeys have been seen this winter. That can only mean one thing: *A great spring! *
You will depart with your guide for your morning hunt, then your guide can either call for you, help you call, or simply set you up on a gobbler, it will your decision. The afternoon hunt will be self-guided. Spot flocks in the fields and stalk in close enough to call. Or cruise the ridges and try for a "shock gobble". If you are good enough or lucky enough you may bag one for the record books.If afternoon turkey hunting isn't your thing you can just relax at the lodge, or wrestle the catfish, bass, and bream in the lodge lake. Either way, a spring afternoon at this beautiful lodge is sure to be enjoyable.

Serious about turkey huntingr? This Alabama lodge is in the heart of the Black Belt, famed for its great eastern wild turkey hunting. This lodge offers hunting on 12,000 acres of prime, privately owned plantation land along the Alabama River, just south of Selma and 45 minutes from the Montgomery airport. Their comfortable new lodge is steps away from turkey, deer and wingshooting, all in a fair chase environment.
Their family and friends have been bagging eastern wild turkeys on this land for generations. This Alabama lodge offers you the same excellent hunting. Seasoned guides, roomy quarters and the true Southern hospitality of home cooking and good stories are hallmarks of this Alabama Lodge.
Lodging
The lodge was constructed in 1996 and features 5,000 square feet of modern accommodations. A spacious great hall is anchored by a brick fireplace. The kitchenette has a full bar for snacks and refreshments. Two lounge areas offer an opportunity for private chats. Conference space is provided in the same area.
In the oldest Southern style, there is a free standing kitchen and dining area separating the lodge and the hunters from the distractions of meal preparation. Chicken, grilled hamburgers, gravy and biscuits, and other country vittles are served in generous portions. No long lines or waiting in a crowded bar. Just good food and plenty of it.
Guests will sleep in comfortable beds separated by full bath facilities. Linens and towels are provided. A washer/dryer is available to guests. The lodge can accomodate parties of thirty or more. Take in a ball game on their satellite TV in the lounge, or just relax upstairs in your room. Wooden rockers line a spacious porch. The occasional hoot of an owl or a howl of a coyote may interrupt your quiet night. Corporate and private groups can take advantage of their special rates. Their lodge is perfect for retreats, parties, picnics and meetings. Meals can be prepared on the spot by the lodge staff -- steaks are their specialty.
Close enough for convenience, but remote enough for privacy.
Shuttle service from and to Montgomery airport (if required) is available for $200 for parties of six or fewer hunters.

The guides and staff of this Alabama lodge wants your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable as well as successful. Of course, the first priority is to get you to your stand and ready to harvest some game! A close second is food, rest and relaxation. The rest is up to you.
