Alaska Outfitter #1
We now offer fully guided Alaska caribou hunts in the heart of Alaska's least hunted caribou country. These Alaska
caribou hunts are situated near the world famous "Porcupine Caribou Herd's" calving grounds. Their Arctic Refuge
guide use area has excellent caribou hunting.
The outfitter has secured their much anticipated new caribou area. This new area allows them to operate in ALL of
the good caribou areas along the north slope of the Brooks Range. They are hunting all three major herds now! The Porcupine Herd (70,000 animals), the Central Arctic Herd (60,000 animals) and the gigantic Western Arctic Herd
(500,000 animals)! These caribou are Alaska Barren Ground which are the largest bodied and horned sub-species
of caribou in the world. They have 2 deluxe base camps with all accommodations including telephone, internet and
laundry facilities. These hunts will be fully guided 2x1 and will be way over 150% over-all success.
They situate each camp in the best possible location for that moment in time. From their base camp they take a
short Supercub airplane flight to a camp located right amongst the caribou. (They do not sit in one spot waiting on
caribou that aren't coming). Fly out camps are tent camps equipped with quality gear, a competent guide and good
food.
Hunts are 7 days with 5 days of hunting.
