  These Alaska's mountain goat hunts take place in some of the more rugged and beautiful country in Alaska
with hunts ranging from the river bottoms of interior Alaska to the snow crested peaks of the Talkeetna Mountains.
Mountain goat: Hunts take place in unit 8, on Kodiak Island. Goats on Kodiak tend to be harvested between
1800-2500 feet above sea-level. All hunters are welcome to hunt Sitka black-tailed deer on a trophy fee basis once
their mountain goat has been harvested. Be prepared to carry up to 60lbs into the hunting areas. Once in the field, a
light daypack will suffice unless camp needs to be moved. Versatility is the key to success.
For those who wish not to stay in spike tents during their hunt, local hotels can accommodate them. Hunting would
then consist of driving out to the field each day and climbing up to goat country and returning each evening. Success
rates are very high but a hunter's lack of physical conditioning many times will limit their success.
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game biologists, Kodiak's mountain goats grow at a faster rate than
other goats in Alaska, ensuring trophy quality at younger ages!
Kodiak’s goat tags are by drawing only but the chance at harvesting a trophy billy is very high. Increasing Mtn. goat populations have lead to an increase in tags drawn for the areas they hunt. Their drawing areas do not require charter
flights to access so weather can't keep you from the field or from missing any airline connections on your way home.
They strongly encourage anyone interested in a great Kodiak island mountain goat hunt to apply for their two drawing areas. Drawing results are published in January so if you fail to draw a tag there is still plenty of time to locate an over-

This outfitter is currently in the process of securing an area for over -the- counter Mountain Goat hunts for the future.
Hunts would take place in October and possibly into November. They did their first hunt there this past fall 2008 and harvested a 9.5” Billy at 37 yards with 6” bases, aged at 9 years old; he had only two teeth left. on the mountain persuing goats you are living in comfort aboard the yacht where a full-time cook keeps you fed and the

The mountain goats in their area are a underutilized resource and provide a first class hunt. Black bear are extremely abundant in this area and can be combined with goats as an additional trophy.

 This is a trophy hunting guide service owned and operated by the outfitter and his wife. The outfitter himself is the head guide in charge of the operations. When selecting hunting areas he seeks
out remote places in Alaska that have extremely limited hunting pressure. It's his heartfelt belief is that a quality hunt can't be had where there is competition from other hunters, whether they are Alaska residents or non-residents on guided hunts.That's why his areas are chosen in such remote regions. He hunts places that
are still like Alaska was in the good old days. Don't be fooled by outfitters who can display a few pictures of large trophy animals,
yet takes dozens of clients each year. What percentage of their hunters will actually collect a true trophy, maybe 10%?
On this mountain goat hunt the outfitter along with 1 - 2 carefully chosen assistant guides, personally guide every
hunt. Each client is put in an excellent spot with an excellent guide. He will not settle for second rate performances
when it comes to guiding on his hunts. It is his belief that every client should receive "110%" effort on the part of his
guide. This is why this outfitter is in the top 1% of the guiding profession in Alaska. To produce good trophy results
year after year it takes a dedicated professional guide who won't surrender until he gets the game he is after.
