Alberta Outfitter #1.....
Our spring, Alberta black bear hunts are a great time to get
away, enjoy a relaxing hunt and see a lot of trophy bears. The chance of getting a nice bear is very good. They have killed
many bears between 7 and 8 feet, theirr best being over 8 feet.
They run their bear hunts from a tent camp northeast of Peace
River, Alberta. This is a two bear zone with many color phased
bears ranging from blond, cinnamon, chocolate to black with
many trophy bears.
Bear hunts take place in the late afternoons and evenings from ground blinds and tree stands. In Alberta there is approximately eighteen hours of daylight at this time of the year, so shooting
light does not end until 10:30 to 11:30pm.
Their bear camp offers many conveniences to make your outdoor experience more comfortable. Their camp is entirely
self-contained, with wood heated sleeping tents for two, a large cooking / eating tent with a stainless steel kitchen, all
the conveniences a cook could wish for. Electric lights and a propane heated shower. Warm water is provided each morning and evening at the washstand outside each tent. As needed the camp attendant will light the fire in the tents
each morning and evening, as well as providing plenty of wood to stay warm all night. They do all they can to provide comfortable accommodation even in the remote area they hunt.
Their spring bear hunts are conducted in the Peace River area of Alberta WMU 520 located about 500 miles north of Edmonton Alberta. With a area of 90 miles by 100 it is easy to see how they continue to hunt for big bears each year.
The zone is a mix of muskeg swamp and Beaver dams with rolling hills covered in poplar and spruce forests.
Wolf licences are included in our black bear hunts. Fishing for Northern Pike and Walleye is avalable in season.
