The </div> <div> state of  Florida  will be conducting its public hunts. The<FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFFFF" FACE="Arial" > </FONT></div> <div> state  will issue approximately 1500 trapper licenses in </div> <div> a lottery drawing. Each trapper may have helpers called </div> <div> agents. They  will be able to list  you as an agent for one </div> <div> of their trappers  who have been selected. The cost for a </div> <div> non-resident to be a trapper is <B>$1,000</B>. This is the most exciting and challenging method of harvesting alligators. Hunters will see more than 100 alligators during the hunt. The average gator taken during these hunts will be 7 ½ feet </div> <div> in length. Some hunts are </div> <div> done  from the shoreline and some  are done out of airboats.  ( All night hunts are  done from airboats ). </div> <div> There is no drawing for these  tags. They have tags </div> <div> in hand. </div> <bR> <div> They do extensive scouting prior to each hunt from airboats, trucks, and even airplanes if needed. If for any reason </div> <div> they are unable to bag the first gator, they always have others scouted out. When scouting they look for the largest </div> <div> gator possible, not the minimum nine footers. Because of their advanced scouting, they have a 10 feet plus average </div> <div> on their trophy trips. </div> <bR> <div> These hunts are done on private lakes and canals. Make no mistake, these are not gators that have been trapped or farmed and released just before the hunt. These are 100 percent free ranging, tail slapping, and mouth snapping, boat biting, wild gators with an all around bad attitude.
