This New Mexico turkey hunt takes place southeast of Raton, New Mexico. This hunt for Merriam turkey occur on all private land in Quay
and San Miguel counties, New Mexico. The habitat of this ranch is
creek bottoms and Pinon / Juniper terrain. This ranch holds a large population of turkey and the population is still growing. The hunt price includes meals, appropriate number of guides, transportation during
the hunt, and cleaning of the birds. The hunter is responsible for his license, motel accommodations, personal gear, weapons and their transportation to and from the camp.
This is mountainous terrain, with elevations running from 7,500 feet to 9,500 feet. The ranch holds a large, population
of turkey and the population has always been stable and is growing. This is not a guaranteed hunt but this hunt has
been running right at 100% success on two birds, weather eprmitting of course..
The cost of the hunt includes accommodations at the lodge on the ranch, meals, appropriate number of guides, trans-portation during the hunt, and cleaning of the birds. Hunters will be responsible for their license, personal gear, weapon
and their transportation to and from the camp.
