Texas Outfitter #1.....
This west Texas hunt is held approximately 40 miles south of Marfa, Texas in the Chinati Mountains. Anyhunter flying
will fly into El Paso or Midland, Texas will need to rent a car and drive to Shafter, Texas where you will be met. You will
hunt typical Texas safari style from 4X4 trucks. Glassing and spot and stalk is the main style of hunting for this hunt. Guides, lodging, meals, skinning and caping of game as well as transportation during the hunt is provided. The length
of the hunt is four days and can be arranged for any time during the season.
Ranch Size and Description
41 sections, (26,240 acres) rolling hills with cedar trees, brush, and desert vegetation.
Hunt Methods
Glassing is the main style of hunting. Spot and stalk will
be used once game has been spotted.
Other Game
Javelina may be taken when they are seen, coyotes, fox and other varmints may also be taken. Aoudad and Del Carmen may be taken
on a trophy fee basis.
Furnished with the Hunt
Meals, Lodging, and Guides. They recommend a hunter take a one-on-one hunt. The $150 extra per day is worth the cost.
Hunter Success
Hunter success is very high with 100% shooting opportunities at mature bucks. They will take 5 hunters on the ranch for the season. 8 point bucks have been the minimum with many having 10 or more scoring points (eastern count).
