Archery Hunts
Although the State of Texas offers a bow-only season during the month of October, this outfitter does not hunt during
that time. Historically, bow hunts are not very productive in October for several reasons. First, the weather is often very
hot and oppressive and the deer will not move around nearly as much as they do during the latter part of the season. Second, the acorns drop sometime right around late September and early October, as a result, they will not have the normal deer movements around the feed areas as they do during their gun season. Therefore, they will only offer bow
hunts during the rifle season. The hunts will be conducted over prime feed areas in ground blinds and platform stands. 100% opportunity is expected.

Texas has long been known for trophy whitetails. They have exclusive hunting rights on some very large ranches in the panhandle region. The terrain is primarily vast open range, with dense creek and river bottoms, which funnels the deer.

This whitetail hunt is located in northwest Texas just about midway between Throckmorton and Seymour, Texas and
two hours by vehicle from the Dallas / FT. Worth area. This
hunt is one of the best free ranging whitetail hunts in Texas
if not the best, free ranging whitetail hunt in Texas.With the
newly aquired 4500 acre addition of the, "Upshaw County" school property, ( Famous for it's deer and turkey with the
local hunters ) this hunt now takes place on over 12,000
private acres of prime trophy whitetail habitat.
This hunt can boast a 90% success ratio on trophy whitetail bucks for last season while harvesting 4 bucks over 150
class, 5 over 140 class and 5 bucks that scored between 130 -140 class. Shooter bucks will average in the 130 to 140 class range with more than a few going above the 150 to 160 class range, and they have taken bucks up to 180 class.
They maintain a consistant 1 to 1.52 buck to doe ratio. In order to keep the hunting at the trophy level they only allow a maximum of 3 gun hunts per year with only 6 hunters allowed per group.
 This Texas whitetail hunt has 15 gun stands and 17 archery stands
that overlook 10 food plots and multiple natural food plots such as

The terrain although still Texas looking with plenty of Mesquite and

 These Texas whitetail hunts are conducted on over 2,200 acres of high fenced prime, managed country.
They provide transportation to all two man stands
with heaters and guides for every hunter. Your game
will be field dressed, quartered and packed in ice for
travel.

they possibly can. As most people know it gets rather
warm in south Texas during the summer months. For
that reason they have 25 water troughs and 7 dirt tanks
to ensure their animals remain healthy through out the summer.
This ranch is located in south central Val Verde County, Texas. The terrain consists of a massive limestone base that underlies flat to rolling terrain, forming a deep and winding canyon. The soil in this area is generally dark, calcareous
stony clays and clay loams that support oak, juniper, grasses and mesquite. A perfect terrain for hunting whitetail. To further improve the habitat, the staff of the ranch has undertaken a project of constantly grooming the terrain, such as trimming and clearing the underbrush of the Cedar trees to provide shade for the game.
The lodge sleeps up to 10 comfortably and has two bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi tub, full kitchen and a large great
room. To enjoy some of the milder evenings, you can grill outside and eat in their screened-in eating area. The lodge
is fitted with satellite TV, with almost all the movie channels and internet access is available, so you can e-mail your
trophy pictures to your envious friends before you leave.
For the hunt, they have 10 2-man hunting blinds. Each blind has two padded chairs to ensure a comfortable hunt. For
your security, their property is completely surrounded by an 8 1/2 foot game fence.To guarantee a great trophy, they
have 15 breeding pens, all with water troughs, shaded areas and feeders.Their facilities are fully equipped to process
